Wrongly Convicted: The Greg Kelley Story

He was 18 years old — a Texas high-school football star with a full-ride future ahead of him — when one accusation shattered his life. Convicted of a crime he didn’t commit, Greg Kelley spent years behind bars, branded a child predator, fighting a system built to forget him. Six years later, the truth finally came out: the investigation was flawed, the evidence was nonexistent, and Greg Kelley was officially exonerated. In this raw and emotional episode of Miss Understood, Rachel Uchitel sits down with Greg Kelley on the anniversary of his exoneration to revisit his incredible journey — from the moment everything changed, to the fight for justice that captured the nation in Showtime’s Outcry, and the life he’s building now. In this episode, you’ll hear:     •    How one accusation turned a small-town hero into a convicted felon overnight.     •    What prison was really like for someone labeled a monster — and how he survived it.     •    The shocking investigation flaws that nearly cost him his life.     •    What justice, forgiveness, and freedom look like now.     •    Why Greg Kelley’s story still matters for every person who believes the system always gets it right.
