Episode description as stored

What happens when following rules becomes more important than following Jesus? In this conversation through Matthew 12, Pastor Joby Martin and the Deepen team unpack the difference between religion and the gospel. Legalism says God will love you if you change. The gospel says God changes you because He loves you. Jesus confronts the Pharisees for valuing rules over people, sacrifice over mercy, and performance over relationship with God. This episode dives into spiritual pride, fear, control, repentance, and the freedom found in the grace of Jesus.
