Why You Can’t Follow Jesus Alone - S20E5

The church isn’t a place to attend—it’s a people to belong to. If you’ve ever thought, “I’ll join a group when I find the right people”—this conversation is for you.   In this episode of Deepen, Pastor Joby, Pastor Britt, and Pastor Vinke dive into Acts 2 to unpack what the Bible really says about the church—and why it’s not about attending, but belonging. They explore the difference between biblical community and the consumer mentality so many of us bring to church today.   They unpack how salvation, baptism, community, and care mark a Spirit-filled church—and why the real miracle isn’t signs and wonders, but salvation itself. You’ll hear why following Jesus means following Him with His people, and why your story matters in the family of God.    Take Your Next Step: If you’re not connected to a disciple group, you’re missing out on the front-line care and community God designed for you.
