Episode description as stored

Director Greta Gerwig is set to adapt The Magician's Nephew for Netflix, marking a new cinematic era for the Chronicles of Narnia franchise. Recent promotional images have sparked discussion regarding the visual reimagining of the villainous Jadis, played by actress Emma Mackey. Unlike the traditional description of the White Witch with paper-white skin and flowing hair, this version features a tan complexion and a modern, dark hairstyle. This aesthetic shift suggests that the film may explore a deeper origin story, showing the character's evolution before she becomes the legendary frozen tyrant. By focusing on her early transformation, the production aims to provide a fresh and visually distinct perspective on the classic C.S. Lewis fantasy world. "Open a book. Discover a world."
