Sk8LikeYou Podcast Episode 108: FloJo & We Want Smoke BONUS Show

I sat down with Marlo “FloJo” Jones for a special bonus episode and this one hits different. FloJo isn’t just part of the  Pittsburgh  skate scene. She’s one of the people who refused to let it fade. When a major skate spot was lost and hundreds of skaters were left without a home, most would’ve accepted it. FloJo didn’t. Alongside Liz Brown of  Rink Rat Chat , we go deep into what it really takes to keep a culture alive. This is about resilience, pressure, and making something out of nothing when everything says it’s over. Contact FloJo for apparell at: facebook.com/marlo.d.jones.9 We talk about: • losing a skate space and what that actually did to the community • the behind-the-scenes grind of rebuilding momentum • how FloJo turned setbacks into fuel instead of excuses • what it takes to organize and sustain real events • the energy behind her annual event “Who Want Smoke” and why it keeps growing FloJo didn’t just bring something back. She leveled it up. Because she refused to quit, the adult skate scene in the 412 isn’t just surviving. It’s evolving. This is a conversation about standing on business, protecting the culture, and proving that if you don’t give up, you can shift an entire scene. If you skate, you need to hear this one. #SK8LIKEYOU #RollerSkating #PittsburghSkateScene #412Skate #WhoWantSmoke #SkateCulture #SkateCommunity #AdultSkate #RinkLife #SkateEvent #SkateFamily #KeepSkatingAlive #LevelUp #WeAreTheConversation #VoicesAmplified
