Sk8LikeYou Podcast Episode 105: Marly of @SkatewithMarly

In this episode, I sit down with Marly, the face behind @skatewithmarly and someone who’s building something real in the roller skating world. Her story goes way deeper than skating. Marly immigrated from Lebanon to Canada, leaving behind a life that had the potential to become dangerous, in search of something better. That kind of move takes courage, and you can feel that same energy in everything she’s doing today. We get into her journey from working as a pharmacist to stepping fully into skating and turning it into her purpose. That transition alone says everything about what this culture can do when you fully commit to it. She’s not just skating, she’s creating community. Through her Roller Dance Company and the MTL Quad Squad, she’s bringing people together, teaching, inspiring, and giving people a space to grow both on and off the floor. What stands out to me is how intentional she is with everything she’s building. This isn’t about trends or clout. This is about impact, connection, and creating something that actually matters. We talk about: • Leaving Lebanon and starting over in a new country • How skating became more than just something to do • Building a community from the ground up • Creating safe, empowering spaces in skating • Turning passion into purpose This episode is about resilience, taking control of your story, and using skating as a vehicle to build a life on your own terms. #rollerskating #rollerskater #rollerskate #quadskating #rollerskatelife #rollerskatingcommunity #skatelife #skateculture #skateeveryday #skatejourney #sk8likeyou #sk8likeyoupodcast #podcastlife #podcastclips #newpodcast #spotifypodcast #applepodcasts #youtubepodcast #immigrantstory #resilience #purpose #chasingdreams #startover #findyourpurpose #motivationdaily #inspiration #growthmindset #rollerdance #rollerskatedance #skatedance #jamstyle #flowstate #freestyleskating #montrealskaters #canadaskaters #womensupportingwomen #creativecommunity #communityovercompetition
