#378 Sheila Wray Gregoire's Great Sex Rescue: Real Problems, Wrong Answers? | Anne Kennedy

Sheila Gregoire has become one of the most influential voices in the Christian conversation surrounding sex, marriage, and evangelical culture. But do her conclusions actually stand up to biblical and logical scrutiny? In this episode, I’m joined by Anne Kennedy for a thoughtful review of The Great Sex Rescue and a broader discussion of Sheila’s theology, trajectory, and influence. We discuss where she started, where she has landed, and ask whether her approach is truly rooted in Scripture or shaped more by cultural assumptions and modern psychology. We also examine questions surrounding her research methodology, claims about complementarianism, purity culture, and whether evangelical Christianity is really the source of the problems she identifies. Along the way, we highlight areas where we agree—including concerns about pornography and real struggles many women face in marriage—while also exploring significant concerns about worldview, biblical authority, and the purpose of sex itself. We also open with a conversation about the recent Avalon controversy and why theological precision matters now more than ever. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This video is sponsored by: GOOD RANCHERS American Meat Delivered Go to  https://go.goodranchers.com/alisa  for more information.
